Education: Holly completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics with a certificate in Education and Educational Services at the University of Wisconsin in 2016. She completed her dietetic internship through Wellness Workdays while also graduating with an MS in Applied Exercise Science, Sports Nutrition emphasis from Concordia University – Chicago in May 2018. She has been a registered dietitian (RD) since summer 2018.
Job Responsibilities: Holly is the dietitian for gymnastics, men's basketball and women's basketball. She works with these teams on an individual and team level, including providing consults, meal planning, educations, gameday support, hydration testing, and body composition testing. As a member of the Sports Medicine Team, Holly also works closely with the doctors, athletic trainers, and counseling staff to provide inter-disciplinary care to her student athletes. She helps consult on menu creation and athlete feedback at the Wellness Kitchen. She is the primary oversight of the Watson Fuel Station which the Student Athletes utilize for pre-exercise fuel, recovery nutrition and healthy snacks to aid in meeting their energy, nutrient and hydration needs.
Past Experience: Holly came to Auburn from the University of Kansas where she completed a Sports Dietitian Fellowship. She started her work in Sports Nutrition at the University of Wisconsin where she assisted the Sports Dietitians throughout her undergrad and graduate school.
