Dan Heck

Began at Auburn: June 2016

Education: Heck received his bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from Central Michigan University in 2009 and completed his master's degree in Sports Administration at CMU in 2011.

Job Responsibilities: Heck oversees and directs the Athletics Department’s marketing and promotional plans for all 21 sports at Auburn. Heck serves as the point of contact for football and men’s basketball marketing efforts and coordinates all aspects of digital marketing and advertising within athletics. Heck serves as a liaison for the athletics department team shop and with the Auburn University Trademark Licensing office.

Past Experience: In 2018, Auburn Athletics marketing department was named a National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators team of the year finalist. Heck came to Auburn after serving as the Associate Director of Marketing and New Media at the University of Arizona. Prior to his role at UA Athletics, Heck worked as the Assistant Director of Marketing and Promotions at Central Michigan University Athletics Department.

Personal: A native of Big Rapids, Michigan, Heck and his wife, Courtney are parents to their son, Webb.
