Maddux Jeffreys was promoted to Director of Operations for Auburn Men’s Basketball on Aug. 2, 2023.
Jeffreys is in his eighth season overall with the program including two years as a graduate assistant on Head Coach Bruce Pearl’s coaching staff.
“Maddux has been with us the last seven years, serving as a student manager, graduate assistant and assistant director of operations,” Pearl said. “He has obviously paid his dues. He understands our operation and the importance of helping our players be successful. When it comes to Auburn Basketball, it’s always more than just the basketball. There is community service, player development and fundraising. All the things that go into being a really good program.”
He currently assists with team travel, daily scheduling, analytics and scouting.
Jeffreys previously served as a four-year manager while an undergraduate at his alma mater. During his time with the Tigers, he was a member of the 2018 regular-season championship, 2019 SEC Tournament Championship and 2019 NCAA Final Four squads.
Originally from Mobile, Alabama, Jeffreys grew up in Newnan, Georgia, and was a two-sport athlete playing football and basketball in high school. He is a lifelong Auburn Fan and his career aspiration is to become a college basketball coach.
A 2020 graduate of Auburn earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing, Jeffreys also completed his master’s degree coursework in education in December 2021.
He is the son of Toby and Vicki Jeffreys and has three sisters: Katie, Kristen and Mary Helen.
