Education: Carter received his bachelor’s degree in sports management from West Virginia University in 2009 and earned his master's degree in education – sports management from The University of Texas at Austin in 2011.

Job Responsibilities: Carter oversees the day-to-day operations and budget of the Athletics Event Management department and serves as the game manager for men's basketball, softball, cross country, men’s and women’s golf. He is also the secondary football game manager and manages Athletics’ account with their event staffing vendor.

Past Experience: Carter came to Auburn after serving as the Director of Event Operations at James Madison University. Before JMU, Carter worked at the University of Maryland's Athletic Facilities, Operations, & Events department and the University of Texas Athletic Department. Carter worked within the Texas Athletics Facilities & Event Operations and Customer Relations departments. As an undergrad at West Virginia, Carter spent two years as the head student manager for the WVU baseball program.

Personal: Carter hails from Virginia Beach, Virginia. In 2019, Carter served as Team Liaison at the SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament. Carter served as the Chair of the Collegiate Athletics Operations Services (CAOS) Steering Committee for the 2017 conference. Carter has served in other volunteer roles ranging for CAOS including Vice Chair (2016), Logistics Coordinator (2015), and  Programming Committee Member (2014).
