Competed in 11 meets throughout the season... Earned NCAA Qualifying Standards in the 100 fly (44.91) and the 200 fly (1:41.02)... Began his collegiate career with a third-place finish at The Dual Meet Tournament in the 100 fly (47.00) against Minnesota... Picked up his first dual meet win in the 200 fly (1:44.66) against Florida... Returned to the winner's circle in the 200 fly (1:43.31) against rival Alabama... Scored 47 points at the SEC Championships, finishing fifth in the 200 fly (1:41.02), ninth in the 100 fly (44.91) and 23rd in the 500 free (4:24.87)... Also helped the 400 medley relay team to a fourth-place finish (3:02.09)... Scored 16 points at the NCAA Championships, finishing eighth in the 200 fly (1:40.68) and 12th in the 100 fly (44.65) for a pair of All-American Honors... Also helped the 800 free relay to an 11th-place finish (6:10.77) and the 400 medley relay to a 10th-place finish (3:01.58) for a pair of All-American Honorable Mention Honors... His 1:39.59 in the 200 fly in prelims at NCAAs was a program record... His 44.65 in the 100 fly at NCAAs was the second-fastest time in program history... His 1:33.65 in the lead-off leg of the 800 free relay made him the eighth-fastest performer in the 200 free in program history... The 6:10.77 in the 800 free relay was a program record and the 3:01.68 in the 400 medley relay at NCAAs was the second-fastest time in school history.
