Competed in his first collegiate competition at the Auburn Diving Invitational placing 11th in the 1-meter (265.55) and 12th in the 3-meter (223.05).

Pre-College:
Graduated from Northampton High School ... Was named Athlete of the Year for men[apos]s swimming & diving in western Massachusetts ... Four-time all-star in diving ... Two-time all-star in swimming ... Earned four consecutive team sportsmanship awards ... Owns 6- and 11-dive records at his high school ... Also part of 200-yard freestyle relay school record-holding team.

Personal
Parents are Kim and Louie Bierwert ... Has a sister, Lindsay ... Comes from a strong swimming & diving background as his father was a swimmer at MIT and his mother was a diver at Smith College ... His sister is currently a swimmer at Hartwick College ... Trained as a welder fabricator and blacksmith ... Plans to major in aviation professional flight.
