Junior Season (2009-10)
Competed at the 2010 USA ConocoPhillips National Championships and took 17th in the 200m fly with a time of 2:01.41 ... Scored points in two events for Auburn at the 2010 SEC Championships ... Won the consolation final of the 200 fly, taking ninth overall in the event with a time of 1:45.51 ... Also swam in the consolation final of the 400 individual medley, taking 14th overall in 3:53.79 ... Had five top five finishes during the dual meet season ... Took third in the 1,650 free against Alabama and finished fifth in the even at Texas A&M ... Captured third in the 200 fly at Texas.

Sophomore Season (2008-09)
Participated in the 2009 USA Swimming National Championships ... Advanced to the finals in the 200 fly and took sixth with a time of 1:58.47 ... Took 24th in the 400m free (3:57.42) and 18th in the 1500m free (15:38.06) ... Earned All-America Honorable Mention in the 200 fly at the 2009 NCAA Championships ... Finished 11th in a time of 1:42.75 ... His time in the event ranks third all-time at Auburn ... Also swam in the 500 free and finished 28th ... His time of 4:19.83 ranks fifth all-time ... Freshman Season (2007-08)
Competed in the 400m free, 1500m free and 200m fly at the 2008 United States Olympic Trials... Qualified for the semifinals in the 200 fly where he finished ninth with a time of 1:58.59... Finished 42nd in the 400m free (3:58.06) and 44th in the 1500m free (15:49.78)... At the NCAA Championships in Federal Way, Wash., Looney swam to two 24th-place finishes in the 500 free (4:21.69) and the 200 fly (1:45.84)... At the SEC Championships in Tuscaloosa, Ala., Looney qualified for the consolation finals in the 200 butterfly, finishing 16th in a time of 1:50.49... Also swam to a 14th-place finish in the 1650 free (15:25.45) and a 19th-place finish in the 500 free (4:28.82)... On the Auburn all-time lists, Looney ranks third in the 1000 free (9:06.95).

High School
Attended Loyola College Preperatory School and swam for the City of Shreveport Swim Team... Sets the Louisiana state record in the 500 free... Was the Louisiana Male Swimmer of the Year for 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2007... Named Co-captain of the U.S. National Junior Team in 2007... Finished 10th in the 800m free at the U.S. Senior National Championships and finished seventh in the 200m fly B Finals (2:02.10)... Also competed in the 400m free and 400m IM.
