Sophomore Season (2013-14):
Competed at the Notre Dame Tri-Meet in October and did not compete the rest of the season after suffering an injury.

Freshman Season (2012-13):
Qualified for the NCAA Zone [apos]B[apos] Championships (1-meter, 3-meter, Platform)...Placed 15th in the 1m championship of Zones with a final score of 559.15...15th in the 3m at NCAA Zones (638.60) and ninth in the platform (622.00)...Earned zone qualifying score for the 1-meter against Texas A&M (328.65), placing fourth and taking the third-best score for an Auburn diver in the year...At the Georgia Fall Invite, he gained his 3-meter qualifying score (341.00), an event where he placed eighth...Top platform score came at the Auburn Diving Invite (328.80), where he placed fifth...Finished in 13th in the 1m at the SEC Championships (290.60), 12th in the 3m (327.15) and ninth in the platform (328.30), nearly making the final...Named to All-SEC Freshman Team.

Pre-College:
Graduated from Bob Jones High School ... Won three state high school team swim/dive championships at BJHS (2008-10) ... Was state runner-up in diving in 2010 and 2011; finished third in 2009 ... Named Huntsville Times Diver of the Year in 2011 ... Club team was Mission Viejo Nadadores ... Member of club[apos]s National Junior Olympic Team in 2011 and 2012 ... Competed at Junior Nationals in 2009, 2011 and 2012 ... Gold medalist in men[apos]s 3M synchro at 2010 AAU Nationals ... Was also part of the Bob Jones High School Drumline.

Personal:
Parents are Matt and Lynn Laing ... Has two sisters, Ashley Bailes and Erin Laing, both of whom graduated from Auburn ... Chose Auburn because he has always been an Auburn fan; also loved the team dynamics and reputation for excellence and winning championships ... Plans to major in software engineering.
