Finished 10th overall in the 50 freestyle at the NCAA meet with a time of 19.33 ... Was 15th overall in the 100 free at 42.77 ... Competed on the 200 medley relay, 400 free relay, 400 medley relay and 800 free relay teams at the national meet ... Led Auburn to its 10th-consecutive SEC title in the 400 freestyle relay (2:48.98) ... Qualifed for the NCAA Championships in the 50 free, 100 free, 100 back, 200 FR, 400 FR, 200 MR, 400 MR and 800 FR all with automatic qualifying times...Earned five All-America honors at the NCAA meet, which is tied for second most ever by a freshman at the NCAA Championships...Was the anchor on the 400 freestyle relay that won the NCAA title with split of 41.3, the fastest split in the final...Swam on the 800 freestyle relay team that set the school record at the SEC Championships, then lowered it again with at the NCAA Championships with a time of 6:17.29...Finished sixth in the 100 free at the national meet with a time of 42.51 to pick up his first career first team All-America selection...Won the SEC title in the 100 back (45.56), which ranks as the fourth-best swim in school history...Took bronze at the SEC Championships in both the 50 free (19.21) and 100 free (42.40)...Swam as the anchor on the 200 FR, 400 FR, while leading off the 400 MR team as each relay won the SEC title...Held the top time on the team in the 100 back (45.56)... Competed for United States at 2012 Junior Pan-Pacific Games ... Holds North Carolina state record and SwimMAC Carolina age group record (15-18) in 50m free (23.27) and 15-16 100m free (51.45) ...
