2017 World Championships

Freshman Season (2017-18):
Set school records in the 200 back (1:39.05), 200 IM (1:40.67) and 400 IM (3:35.76) ... Owns the top four performances in the 200 IM and the top three performances in the 400 IM in program history ... Auburn's first SEC Male Freshman of the Year ... NCAA All-American in the 200 IM (1:42.21/10th) and as lead off of the 13th-place 400 MR team ... Also competed in the 400 IM (3:46.19/30th) and 200 back (1:41.41/27th) and on the 200 MR at NCAAs ... Also held NCAA B cuts in the 200 free, 100 back, 200 breast and 100 fly ... SEC Champion in the 400 IM (3:35.76), Auburn's fifth-ever in the event and the first since 2002, setting the conference championship record ... SEC runner-up in the 200 IM in a school record 1:40.66 and bronze medalist in the 200 back (1:40.82) ... Set the school record in the 200 back (1:39.05) at December's Georgia Invitational ... Won a total of 15 individual races during the dual meet season and was on three winning relays ... Was named the SEC Swimmer of the Week once (Dec. 5), the SEC Freshman of the Week twice (Oct. 17, Nov. 7) and the CollegeSwimming.com SEC Swimmer of the Week twice (Oct. 18, Dec. 5) ... Summer 2017:
Competed at the 2017 World Championships in Budapest for Spain ... Took 23rd in the 100 back in 55.05, 26th in the 200 IM in 2:02.78 and 32nd in the 200 back in 2:02.41 ... Won gold in the 400 IM at the World Junior Championships in a record 4:14.65 ... Also won gold in the 200 back in 1:56.69, also a championship record.

High School:
Graduated from IES Ortega y Gasset ... Competed at the 2016 Olympics in the 100m backstroke, finishing in 54.18 ... Club team won the Spanish Clubs Swimming Championships ... Won gold at the 2015 World Junior Championships in the 200 back.
