Competed in 12 meets throughout the season... Earned NCAA Qualifying Standards in the 100 free (41.87), 200 free (1:31.87) and the 100 fly (46.06)... Began his collegiate career with two second-place finishes at the SMU Invite in the 200 free (1:33.74) and the 500 free (4:21.78)... Picked up two wins at The Dual Meet Tournament in the 200 free (1:35.33) against Minnesota and the 500 free (4:23.98) against Florida State... Returned to the winner's circle in a double dual against Louisville and Tennessee in the 200 free (1:32.72)... Won both the 200 free (1:33.10) and 100 free (42.37) against Florida... Was victorious in both the 200 free (1:33.29) and the 100 free (42.57) against rival Alabama... Scored 44 points at the SEC Championships, finishing sixth in the 200 free (1:31.87), ninth in the 100 free (41.87) and 40th in the 500 free (4:25.33)... Also helped the 400 medley relay to a fourth-place finish (3:02.09) and the 800 free relay to a third-place finish (6:12.02)... Competed at the NCAA Championships, finishing 20th in the 200 free (1:32.06)... Also helped the 800 free relay (6:10.77) to an 11th-place finish, the 400 medley relay (3:01.68) to a 10th-place finish and the 400 free relay (2:48.64) to an 18th-place finish for All-American Honorable Mention Honors... His 1:31.87 in the 200 free at the SEC Championships made him the No. 3 performer in program history and his 41.87 in the 100 free at SECs made him the No. 8 performer in school history... The 6:10.77 in the 800 free relay at NCAAs was a program record, the 3:01.68 in the 400 medley relay at NCAAs was the second-fastest time in school history and the 2:48.64 in the 400 free relay was tied for the ninth-fastest time in program history.
