Maurey Bland is in his first season serving as a graduate assistant for the Auburn women’s basketball program.
In his role, Bland assists with the program’s community service projects, alumni relations, marketing, fundraising, camp sponsorships, special events and the Full Court Press Club – the program’s booster club.
Prior to Auburn, he served as Chief of Staff for Austin Peay State University Football in Clarksville, Tenn.
The Fayette, Miss., native lettered in football and powerlifting at Madison Central High School. He still holds the squat record in his weight class and won a state championship in 2014.
A graduate of Mississippi State University, Bland earned his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology in 2018. He is currently working towards his master’s degree in education with plans to pursue a career in athletic administration. He is also a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
