Auburn committed five errors and LSU capitalized on Auburn's mistakes and also rapped out 10 hits and drew three walks as Auburn fell in the series finale, 10-1, at Alex Box Stadium on Sunday. Despite the loss Auburn still won the series with its wins on Friday and Saturday, Auburn's second straight series win at Alex Box and fifth since 1993, the most by an LSU opponent in that time frame.

LSU (18-15-1, 3-7-1 SEC) starter Jared Bradford was very good, picking up his fifth win against two losses by scattering six hits over 7.0 innings, walking just one and striking out nine.

Auburn's defense did not help out Auburn starting pitcher Justin Bristow in the early going, committing four errors in the first 3.1 innings and allowing both runners that reached on an error to come around and score. Bristow (1-3), who was making the first SEC start of his career, was charged with five runs (three earned) while surrendering five hits and walking two, taking the loss.

"We didn't do Justin many favors defensively," Auburn Head Coach Tom Slater said. "We were not real good behind Justin. I thought he threw the ball very well and we just didn't help him."

LSU tacked on three more runs (two earned) on Bryan Woodall, who was the first man out of the bullpen for Auburn on Sunday, before Josh Blake was roughed up for two runs in a third of an inning.

Auburn (23-12, 3-9 SEC) avoided the shutout when Joseph Sanders singled home Bruce Edwards with two down in the sixth inning. Edwards had singled to lead off the inning, went to second on Luke Greinke's sac bunt and moved up to third on a wild pitch.

Eight of Auburn's nine starters collected hits on the afternoon, led by Sanders' 2-for-4 effort, as Auburn had nine hits on the afternoon.

Auburn also captured 2-1 series wins in Baton Rouge in 1993, 1995, 2001 and 2005.

The Tigers return home for a Tuesday night game against Mercer at 6pm CT. The game is the final home non-conference game for Auburn this season.
