2006 (FRESHMAN) Went 1-4 with a 5.44 ERA in 20 appearances (six starts) ... Was used mostly as a mid-week starter and in the middle relief role on weekends ... Struckout 37 while allowing just nine walks in 44.2 IP for a 4.1 K/BB ratio, tops on the staff ... Allowed just three walks when coming out of the bullpen ... Struckout at least five on four different occasions ... Issued only two walks in 12.2 IP of SEC play ... Started the 4/25 game vs. Mercer, going 5.0 innings, allowing only one run while striking out a career-high eight hitters.

HIGH SCHOOL Played for Ron Nelson at Central for four years ... 6A State Player of the Year in 2005 after hitting .438 with 31 RBI and going 9-1 on the mound with a 1.96 ERA with 111 strikeouts ... Also named to the Super 12 of Alabama and the East Alabama Player of the Year in 2005 ... All-BiCity Team and all-area recipient as a junior and senior ...
