TAMPA, Fla. - Milan Krnjetin picked up a win as rainy weather shortened day two of the South Florida Classic for the Auburn men's tennis team.
Playing host South Florida, Krnjetin picked up a 6-4, 6-2 win over Thomas Estrada. Alexey Tsyrenov, Tim Puetz and Alex Petropoulos were the only other Tigers to finish their matches, all taking losses.
Tsyrenov lost 6-2, 6-1 to No. 84 Mahmoud Hamed while Puetz lost 6-2, 0-6, 6-4 to Lucas Jovita. Petropoulos lost 7-5, 6-4 to Diego Toledo.
Pawel Dilaj and Nick Maurillo had their matches suspended because of the weather and will complete them Sunday morning. Dilaj is currently tied with Jamal Adderley after sets of 2-6, 7-5 while Maurillo is tied with Michael Nusslein, 5-7, 6-1.
The remaining singles matches, along with the doubles matches, will be completed at 9 a.m., Sunday morning. Auburn will then take on Central Florida in its final matches of the tournament.
