AUBURN, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" The No. 2 Auburn equestrian team continues its homestand Saturday, Feb. 24, hosting No. 9 South Carolina for the team's final Southeastern Conference regular season meet of the year. The Tigers and the Gamecocks will go head-to-head at 11 a.m. CT at the Auburn University Equestrian Center.
"With this being the final SEC meet of the regular season, this is an incredibly important meet for us as we near the postseason," head coach Greg Williams said. "Right now, the attitude of the team is not only confident, but filled with expectation. We had a good win at South Carolina on the road in November and we're going to be riding like we're still on the road."

AUBURN LINEUP
The Auburn competition lineup continues to be junior and freshman heavy, featuring eight juniors and four freshmen. Joining the group will be two seniors and one sophomore.
Junior All-Americans Ashton Alexander, Caitlin Boyle, and Hayley Iannotti are set to compete in both Equitation Over Fences and Equitation on the Flat for the Tigers. Boyle leads the team with a 17-2-1 overall record on the year, including a 9-1-0 mark in Flat. Iannotti has eight wins in Flat with 13 overall, while Alexander picked up both MOP honors last week vs. Texas A&M.
Joining the trio in both events is freshman Taylor St. Jacques. The Glen Allen, Va., product has had an outstanding spring season, going undefeated in the month of February with four MOP honors. Junior All-American Alex Ladove is slated to compete in Fences for Auburn, while senior Caitlin Creel will ride in Flat.
On the Western side of competition, freshman Deanna Green earned the starting nod in both Horsemanship and Reining vs. the Bulldogs. Green is tied for first on the team with seven victories in Horsemanship and owns four MOP nods in the event. Redshirt junior Kelsey Jung also has seven victories in Horsemanship with one MOP.
Junior Lauren Diaz, sophomore Kara Kaufmann, and freshman Taylor Searles are set to join Green and Jung in Horsemanship. Diaz was victorious over the tough Aggie lineup last week and has six wins to her credit.
Senior Alexa Rivard highlights the Reining corps as she enters Saturday's meet as the program's career wins record holder in the event. She has four victories on the season with one MOP.
Junior Betsy Brown has the most wins in Reining on the team with six, while freshman Terri-June Granger is second with five. Granger leads the team with four MOPs, while Brown has two.
Junior Blair McFarlin will also go for the squad in Reining and has four wins on the year.
AUBURN-SOUTH CAROLINA SERIES HISTORY
Auburn holds the edge in the series history with a 20-18 mark vs. the Gamecocks.
The Tigers have won eight-straight meetings vs. the Gamecocks and are 8-6 at home in Auburn.
UP NEXT
The Tigers remain on the Plains, hosting No. 5 SMU next weekend. Auburn and the Mustangs will face off at 11 a.m. CT, March 3, at the Auburn University Equestrian Center.
