Auburn won its sixth straight game with a 7-2 win vs. Samford on Tuesday and outscored its opponents 70-19 during the streak … Steven Williams went 4-for-4 with a double, home run and two RBI in the game … it was Williams' second four-hit game of his young career … Jack Owen picked up the win as he pitched a career-high 5.1 innings and matched a career-high with five strikeouts … Casey Mize pitched 7.0 innings and struck out 10 batters in the series opener at No. 1 Florida … it was his fourth game this season with double digit strikeouts and ninth since the start of last year … he passed Chris Bootcheck and Greg Olson on Auburn's all-time strikeouts list and is now tied with Arnold Hughey for fifth with 272 career strikeouts … the Tigers defeated Florida, 11-5, in game two of the series and became just the second team this season to score 10 or more runs against the Gators … Tanner Burns and Cody Greenhill combined to pitch all 9.0 innings in the win, marking the freshman duo's third straight SEC win in which they combined to go the distance … the win against the Gators was Auburn's fifth SEC win in its last six games, and the team scored a combined 62 runs in those wins … Edouard Julien hit a three-run home run in the top of the first inning in each of the final two games of the series in Gainesville … it was the fourth time this season Julien homered in back-to-back games … he has eight home runs and 27 RBI in the last 20 games … his 11 home runs this season match Hunter Morris for the second most by an Auburn freshman in the Stat Crew era (1993) … he now ranks tied for third in the SEC in RBI (46) and tied for sixth in home runs … Luke Jarvis extended his hitting streak to seven games, while Julien and Williams have each reaches in 10 straight … Elliott Anderson pitched 4.1 scoreless innings during the week and hasn't allowed an earned run in 12.2 innings pitched … he also hasn't allowed a run in 9.1 innings.
