AUBURN, Ala. – Here's a look at how the 25 former Auburn players on active NFL rosters fared this past weekend in week six of the NFL season.
 
BEST OF WEEK 6
 
Peyton Barber, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
It was a breakout game of sorts for Barber, who ran for 82 yards on 13 carries and also caught four passes for 24 yards in a 34-29 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. His five-yard touchdown catch in the fourth quarter was the first career receiving touchdown for the third-year player, who now has 230 yards rushing through the first five games of 2018. According to Pro Football Focus, he's averaging 3.02 yards after contact on each attempt.
 



 
Braden Smith, OL, Indianapolis Colts
The rookie offensive lineman started his second straight game at right tackle and played all 69 snaps on offense in a 42-34 loss to the New York Jets. As a unit, the Colts didn't allow a single sack and helped the running game average 5.5 yards on 23 carries. With two starts under his belt, Smith ranks in the top 16 of NFL offensive tackles with an overall offensive PFF grade of 76.1 and a pass blocking PFF grade of 81.1.
 
C.J. Uzomah, TE, Cincinnati Bengals
Starting for the fifth time in six games, Uzomah finished with a career-high six catches for 54 yards in a 21-20 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played on 92 percent of the offense's snaps for the second straight week. The former fifth-round pick now has 15 catches for 171 yards and a touchdown on the season.
 
OTHER TIGERS IN THE NFL
 
Montravius Adams, DT, Green Bay Packers
The former third-round pick now in his second season with the Packers played a total of 15 snaps, 13 on special teams, in a 33-30 win over the San Francisco 49ers.
 
Cameron Artis-Payne, RB, Carolina Panthers
Artis-Payne was active but didn't see the field in Sunday's loss to the Washington Redskins.  
 
Daren Bates, LB, Tennessee Titans
Bates recorded two tackles in a 21-0 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. The sixth-year player and special teams captain played a season-high 39 snaps, including 17 on defense.
 
Angelo Blackson, DE, Houston Texans
The fourth-year pro finished with two tackles in a 20-13 win over the Buffalo Bills. Blackson now has multiple tackles in five of the first six games to open the 2018 campaign.
 
Josh Bynes, LB, Arizona Cardinals
A week after scoring his first NFL touchdown, Bynes recorded eight tackles and one tackle for loss in a 27-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. The seventh-year player now has 51 tackles on the season, and his PFF grade against the run (84.2) ranks fifth among all NFL linebackers.
 
Sammie Coates, WR, Houston Texans
Coates played primarily on special teams in a 20-13 win over the Buffalo Bills. The fourth-year wide receiver has one catch for 12 yards on the season.
 
Shon Coleman, OL, San Francisco 49ers
Coleman did not play again in week six. The third-year player was traded from the Cleveland Browns to the 49ers prior to the season.  
 
Blake Countess, DB, Los Angeles Rams
Countess, who has become a featured returner on the Rams' special teams, brought back one kick return for 31 yards in a 23-20 win over the Denver Broncos.  
 
Carlton Davis, CB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The rookie cornerback was inactive in a 34-29 loss to the Atlanta Falcons due to injury. Davis, who started the team's first four games, has 16 tackles, one pass defended and one fumble recovery on the season.
 
Casey Dunn, C, Washington Redskins
Dunn played two snaps on special teams in a 23-17 win over the Carolina Panthers. The rookie center, who signed as an undrafted free agent, has now played in two games this season.
 
Dee Ford, LB, Kansas City Chiefs
Ford's streak of three straight games with a sack game to an end this week as he finished with one tackle in a 43-40 loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday night. Still, the former first-round pick has four sacks through the team's first six games.
 
Rudy Ford, DB, Arizona Cardinals
Ford didn't record any stats but played 32 snaps – 26 on special teams, six on defense – in a 27-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. He has three tackles on the season.
 
Josh Harris, LS, Atlanta Falcons
Harris served as the team's long snapper in their 34-29 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  
 
Kerryon Johnson, RB, Detroit Lions
With the Lions on bye, Johnson did not play this week.
 
Jonathan Jones, CB, New England Patriots
A week after making his first interception of the season, Jones started his third straight game and finished with four tackles in a 43-40 win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football. The third-year player now has three or more tackles in every game this season.
 
Brandon King, LB, New England Patriots
King played 19 snaps on special teams in a 43-40 win over the Kansas City Chiefs. The fourth-year pro has recorded a tackle in three of the six games to open the season.
 
Carl Lawson, DE, Cincinnati Bengals
Lawson played 22 snaps but failed to record a stat in a 21-20 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The second-year player has five tackles and a sack through the first six games this season. Last year, he led all rookies with 8.5 sacks.
 
Cam Newton, QB, Carolina Panthers
Newton completed 27 of his 40 pass attempts for 275 yards and two touchdowns in a 23-17 loss to the Washington Redskins. The former No. 1 overall pick also added 43 yards rushing on nine attempts. He's now thrown for at least two touchdowns in each of the last four games and has 12 combined touchdowns (9 passing, 3 rushing) on the season.  
 
Cody Parkey, K, Chicago Bears
Parkey converted on all four of his extra-point attempts in a 31-28 loss to the Miami Dolphins. The fifth-year pro has now made all 13 PAT attempts this season and is 9 of 11 on field goals.
 
Greg Robinson, OL, Cleveland Browns
Robinson played two snaps on special teams in a 38-14 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. The former No. 2 overall pick signed with the Browns in the offseason after spending his first four seasons in the Rams' organization.
 
Neiko Thorpe, CB, Seattle Seahawks
Thorpe recorded a tackle for the second straight week in a 27-3 win over the Oakland Raiders. The seventh-year pro played a total of 26 snaps, 13 on defense and 13 on special teams.
 
Jermaine Whitehead, S Green Bay Packers
After missing the week before with a back injury, Whitehead returned and recorded two tackles in a 33-30 win over the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football. The fourth-year player now has 21 tackles, three passes defended and a sack on the season.
