AUBURN, Ala. – Here's a look at how the 25 former Auburn players on active NFL rosters fared this past weekend in week seven of the NFL season.

BEST OF WEEK 7

Kerryon Johnson, RB, Detroit Lions
On his first run of the game, Johnson ripped off 24 yards. Two drives later, he broke loose on a career-long 71-yard run. The rookie running back finished with a career-high 158 yards on 19 carries and also caught two passes for 21 yards. Johnson, who rushed for 100 yards earlier this season, became the first Lions' player with more than 150 rushing yards in a game since 2013. That earned him a shout out from former Lions' legend Barry Sanders.

Jonathan Jones, CB, New England Patriots
You might not see a better interception than the one Jones pulled in on Sunday to help the Patriots beat the Chicago Bears, 38-31. The third-year player looked beat but reached up at the last minute and pulled down the pass with one hand. It was the second interception of the season for Jones, who also has 30 tackles and six passes defended through seven games.

Cam Newton, QB, Carolina Panthers
Newton mounted one of the largest comebacks of the season against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. Down 17-0 in the fourth quarter, Newton led three consecutive scoring drives that culminated in a 21-17 victory. The former league MVP went 25 of 39 through the air for 269 yards and two touchdowns and also rushed for 49 yards on seven carries. On Wednesday, he was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week.

OTHER TIGERS IN THE NFL

Montravius Adams, DT, Green Bay Packers
With the Packers on bye, Adams did not play this week.

Cameron Artis-Payne, RB, Carolina Panthers
Artis-Payne was active but didn't see the field in Sunday's win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Peyton Barber, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
A week after he hauled in his first career touchdown reception, Barber carried the ball 11 times for 30 yards in a 26-23 win over the Cleveland Browns. The third-year player who signed as an undrafted free agent in 2016 leads the Buccaneers in rushing attempts (74) and yards (260).

Daren Bates, LB, Tennessee Titans
Bates, the special teams captain, played 18 snaps on special teams but did not record any stats in a 20-19 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in London on Sunday.

Angelo Blackson, DE, Houston Texans
Playing 25 snaps on defense, Blackson did a little bit of everything for the Texans in their 20-17 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The fourth-year pro finished with one tackle, one quarterback hit and one pass deflection. He now has 12 tackles on the season.

Josh Bynes, LB, Arizona Cardinals
Now in his eighth year in the league, Bynes has become a vital component of the Cardinals defense. The middle linebacker finished with six tackles in a 45-10 loss to the Denver Broncos on Thursday night. He now has 56 tackles through the team's first seven games.

Sammie Coates, WR, Houston Texans
Coates played primarily on special teams in a 20-7 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The fourth-year wide receiver has one catch for 12 yards on the season.

Shon Coleman, OL, San Francisco 49ers
Coleman did not play again in Week 7. The former third-round pick was traded from the Cleveland Browns to the 49ers prior to the season.

Blake Countess, DB, Los Angeles Rams
In a 39-10 win over the San Francisco 49ers, Countess returned one kick of 24 yards. He also played 11 snaps on defense and recorded one tackle. The former sixth-round pick is in the midst of his third year in the league and works primarily on the special teams unit for the Rams.

Carlton Davis, CB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Davis returned from injury to play 65 snaps in a 26-23 win over the Cleveland Browns. The rookie cornerback had two tackles and also broke up a pass on third down during the overtime period that gave the Buccaneers the ball back and a chance to kick the game-winning field goal.

Casey Dunn, C, Washington Redskins
Dunn did not play in a Week 7 win over the Dallas Cowboys. The rookie center made the 53-man roster after signing with the Redskins as an undrafted free agent in the offseason.

Dee Ford, LB, Kansas City Chiefs
Ford showed once again why he's one of the better pass rushers in the NFL as he finished with two tackles, a sack, a forced fumble and a quarterback hit in a 45-10 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. The former first-round pick has now recorded a sack in five of the team's first seven games, and his pass rush grade (90.2) is tied for first among all edge defenders per PFF.

Rudy Ford, DB, Arizona Cardinals
In what his first NFL start, Ford played a season-high 62 snaps (52 defense, 10 special teams) in a 45-10 loss to the Denver Broncos on Thursday Night Football. The second-year player recorded three tackles and now has seven tackles on the season.

Carl Lawson, DE, Cincinnati Bengals
Lawson played 25 snaps and recorded one tackle in a 45-10 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football. The second-year player has five tackles and a sack through the first seven games this season after leading all rookies with 8.5 sacks a year ago.

Cody Parkey, K, Chicago Bears
Parkey was perfect Sunday as he made his only field goal from 46 yards out and all four of his extra-point attempts in a 38-31 loss to the New England Patriots. The fifth-year kicker is now 10 of 12 on field goals this season and has yet to miss an extra point.

Greg Robinson, OL, Cleveland Browns
Robinson played three snaps on special teams in a 26-23 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The former No. 2 overall pick in the NFL draft signed with the Browns in the offseason after spending his first four seasons in the Rams' organization.

Braden Smith, OL, Indianapolis Colts
Smith started again at right tackle and played all 66 offensive snaps in what was a dominant performance by the Colts in a 37-5 win over the Buffalo Bills. The offensive line, in particular, didn't allow a sack and helped pave the way for a rushing attack that went over 200 yards.

Neiko Thorpe, CB, Seattle Seahawks
With the Seahawks on bye, Thorpe did not play this week.

C.J. Uzomah, TE, Cincinnati Bengals
Uzomah found the end zone for the second time this season as he caught a four-yard pass in the second quarter of a 45-10 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Starting in his fourth-straight game, the former fifth-round pick finished with two receptions for 13 yards and the touchdown.
