Eight Tigers tabbed among top in class by Perfect Game

AUBURN, Ala. – Eight Auburn baseball student-athletes have been recognized among the top players in their respective classes by Perfect Game.

Shortstop Will Holland is the highest-rated Tiger, checking in at No. 6 on the Top 100 Juniors list. Right-handed pitcher Tanner Burns is the No. 11 sophomore, while left-hander Garrett Wade is the No. 9 freshmen.

Overall, Auburn is represented by four pitchers and four position players on the class lists. The Tigers eight representatives are tied for the fifth most in the country, trailing only Florida (16), Vanderbilt (15), LSU (10) and Louisville (nine).

Burns and Wade are joined by Cody Greenhill (No. 79 sophomore) and Davis Daniel (No. 98 junior) on the pitching side. In the field, Holland is joined by newcomer Ryan Bliss (No. 40 freshman) and a pair of returning freshmen All-American in Steven Williams (No. 19 sophomore) and Edouard Julien (No. 35 sophomore).

The Tigers begin the 2019 campaign with a three-game series against Georgia Southern from Feb. 15-17.
