Was Auburn’s Opening Night starter and pitched 2.0 innings with four strikeouts before leaving the game and missing the rest of the season with an injury … was selected by the Los Angeles Angels in the seventh round of the MLB Draft ... named to the Spring SEC Academic Honor Roll.
2018 – SOPHOMORE YEAR
Made 19 appearances and 10 starts on the mound after beginning the season as the Saturday starter … went 3-4 with a 4.86 ERA … lowered his ERA to 3.70 as a reliever … picked up the win after throwing 3.0 scoreless innings in his season debut vs. Longwood (Feb. 17) … struck out five batters in 6.0 innings in a win vs. BYU (Mar. 3) … pitched a season-high 6.2 innings and struck out a season-high seven in a tough-luck loss to Missouri (Mar. 31) … made his second relief appearance of the season and allowed just one run in 4.1 innings in a win at Alabama (Apr. 21) … threw a scoreless inning of relief and struck out a pair vs. Vanderbilt (May 6) … tossed 2.1 scoreless innings of relief and struck out five vs. LSU (May 18) … came out of the bullpen and pitched 5.1 innings with six strikeouts in the SEC Tournament opener vs. Kentucky (May 22) … recorded the final four outs of Auburn’s NCAA Raleigh Regional championship win vs. N.C. State (June 3) … struck out four in 3.0 innings in the Gainesville Super Regional opener (June 9) … came back two days later and turned in arguably the best performance of his career … allowed just one hit with six strikeouts in 5.1 scoreless innings in the decisive game three (June 11) … was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 11th round of the 2018 MLB Draft but elected to return to Auburn for his junior season.
2017 – FRESHMAN YEAR
Made 17 appearances and 16 starts for the Tigers … went 4-3 with a 5.89 ERA … three of his four wins came during SEC play … struck out 61 batters in 70.1 innings – both 3rd on the team … made his Auburn debut and tossed 4.1 innings vs. George Washington (2/19) ... earned his first collegiate win after throwing 6.0 scoreless innings with eight strikeouts vs. Presbyterian (3/12) … turned in another 6.0-inning shutout and earned the win at Georgia (3/26) … went on to be named the SEC Freshman of the Week … pitched 8.0 scoreless innings and earned the win in a 8-1 win at Tennessee (4/15) … matched his season high with eight strikeouts in 6.1 innings and earned the win vs. Ole Miss (5/19).
