AUBURN, Ala. – Twelve members of the national champion Auburn equestrian team earned NCEA All-Academic team honors, including five on the first team, the National Collegiate Equestrian Association announced. The annual honor roll was also announced with 18 Auburn student-athletes on the list.
Senior Caitlin Boyle, Lauren Diaz and Hayley Iannotti along with sophomores Terri-June Granger and Taylor Searles were placed on the Farnam All-Academic First Team. Recipients must have compete in a minimum of 70 percent of the school's meets, not including demo or exhibition rides. They also must have earned a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 while maintaining full-time enrollment in the preview spring and fall semesters.
Earning a spot on the Farnam second team was senior Ali Fratessa. In this category, student-athletes much have competed in 60 percent of the year's meets and have earned a GPA of 3.25.
Rounding out the 12 and representing Auburn on the Honorable Mention squad were seniors Ashton Alexander, Betsy Brown, Kelsey Jung and Blair McFarlin, junior Kara Kaufmann and sophomore Taylor St. Jacques. Requirements include 50 percent and a GPA of 3.0.
Boyle, Emma Crosbie, Diaz, Fratessa, Granger, Sydney Hoffa, Carly Hoft, Iannotti, Becky Kozma, Mackenzie Michaels, Haley Pembroke, Megan Rauh, Casey Schmitz, Searles, Anna Claire Smith, Helen Ulrich, Lillian Wagner and Caroline Walker represented Auburn on the APHA Academic Honor Roll. The top academic student athletes who have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.25 while maintaining full time enrollment in the previous Spring and Fall semesters respectively, earn a spot on the list.
