ATHENS, Ga. – The NCAA Zone B Diving Championships wrapped up Wednesday, and all Alison Maillard and Conner Pruitt needed was a top-12 finish on platform to clinch another event at the NCAA Championships. They both finished seventh, making it three for three on the week with 1-meter, 3-meter and platform.

Auburn will now have at least one diver in all six events at the NCAA Championships.

Maillard, who scored 496.20 points between prelims and finals Wednesday, will be competing on all three events at NCAAs for the third straight year. The senior finished fourth overall on the women's 3-meter event at last year's NCAA Championships.

For Pruitt, it will be the second straight year he's made NCAAs on all three events. The sophomore's highest finish last year came on platform where he placed 25th.

"Alison and Conner were pretty solid today," Auburn head diving coach Jeff Shaffer said. "We're looking forward to both of them stepping their game up at the NCAA Championships."

The other four divers for Auburn missed the cut Wednesday on what was their last opportunity to secure a spot at NCAAs. Junior Logan Andrews came the closest, finishing 11th on the men's side with 626.50 points. He made finals on all three events this week.

Freshman Gretchen Wensuc, who made podium on platform at the SEC Championships, missed the cut for finals by one spot as she placed 19th overall with 223.60 points in prelims.

"Gretchen was solid," Shaffer said. "She missed one dive that would've given her a second list, and that was disappointing. She's been pretty consistent. But I think the experience of being at this meet will help the freshman – Gretchen, Ashlynn [Sullivan] and Skip [Donald] – as we move down the road. Overall, it was a really successful year for them."

Now it's on to the NCAA Championships beginning next week with the women. Including Maillard, Auburn will have 10 student-athletes competing in the meet.
