Another week, another touchdown. This time it was rookie defensive back Daniel Thomas who blocked a punt, recovered it and ran it back for his first career touchdown. That and more in this week's NFL rundown.

BEST OF WEEK 7

Josh Bynes, LB, Cincinnati Bengals
Manning the middle, Bynes had four solo tackles and seven total tackles in Sunday's loss to the Cleveland Browns. It was the fifth game this season where Bynes has recorded seven or more tackles. The 10th-year player is third on the team with 45 tackles through seven games.

Jonathan Jones, CB, New England Patriots
Jones matched Bynes with seven tackles in the Patriots' loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. He now has 33 tackles on the season. In coverage, Jones has allowed a catch rate under 50 percent (48.5) and has given up less than 200 yards to receivers. His overall PFF grade (66.6) ranks top 40 among NFL cornerbacks.

Daniel Thomas, DB, Jacksonville Jaguars
In his first year at Auburn, Thomas made a splash with two interceptions in the Iron Bowl. So it was no surprise to see the rookie defensive back break through at the NFL level with his first career touchdown Sunday. Thomas initially blocked a punt. He then recovered the loose ball and ran it back 16 yards for the score.

* Last week, rookie defensive lineman Derrick Brown was awarded the Week 6 NFLPA Community MVP for hosting a drive-thru Halloween event. The event provided more than $50,000 worth of costumes and other accessories to underprivileged youth in the Charlotte area.
