GREENSBORO, N.C. – Senior Logan Andrews highlighted Auburn's performance on the second day of the Zone B Diving Championships on Monday with a season-best platform score in prelims followed by another strong list in the final.

Andrews finished ninth with 623.95 points combined between the two lists, missing the chance to qualify for the NCAA Championships by one spot. It was the second straight year the senior has scored at least 620 points on platform at the Zones meet.

"That's kind of how our meet is going," Auburn head diving coach Jeff Shaffer said. "We keep getting 19ths, and we keep missing a dive or two that will make a big difference in our final placement."

Andrews was in sixth coming out of prelims with 330.05 points. Sophomore Skip Donald finished 12th on platform with 587.25 points, so if either Andrews or Donald qualifies for NCAAs on the men's 1-meter event Tuesday, they will add platform to their event list at NCAAs.

Freshman Hunter Kebler scored 505.90 points to place 17th overall and showed his potential with a pair of dives scoring 60-plus points in his second list.

The women competed on 3-meter on Tuesday, and sophomore Ashlynn Sullivan made it through to the finals with 281.50 points in prelims. She totaled 563.25 points between her two lists and finished 13th, an improvement on last year where she failed to make it out of prelims.

With 266.40 points, freshman Maia Goldstein was 19th in prelims, finishing one spot from earning a second list for the second straight day.

The Zone B Championships will wrap up Tuesday with the women on platform and the men on 1-meter. Both events will begin with prelims at 9:30 a.m. CT followed by finals at 11 a.m. CT.

"We have one day left, and I made a strong push for them to finish their dives tomorrow and let the results take care of themselves," Shaffer said. "Give your best shot to strive for a personal best. There are spots still available to make NCAAs. We'll see who shows up tomorrow."
