Auburn women's tennis earns ITA academic awards

AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn women's tennis team was named an ITA All-Academic Team, and four student-athletes earned ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced Monday.
 
Graduate students Georgie Axon and Madeline Meredith, senior Yu Chen and sophomore Anastasia Astakhova were named ITA Scholar-Athletes. To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must have a GPA of at least 3.5 for the current academic year.
 
Auburn also earned the team academic award by having a combined GPA of 3.2 or higher for the entire roster.
