Auburn soccer celebrates women’s history month

AUBURN, Ala. — Auburn soccer celebrated Women's History Month during its exhibition matchup versus Georgia with alternate uniforms depicting the last names of trailblazing women throughout history.
 
Each player and staff member selected a woman that inspires them and donned her last name for the duration of the match.

In the matchup, Auburn defeated the Bulldogs 3-0. Carly Thatcher opened the scoring in the 36th minute followed by Dylan Driver in the 70th and Sydnie Thibodaux in the 77th.
 
The women of Auburn soccer return to exhibition action next weekend, facing off against Mercer, Saturday, April 1 at 1 p.m. CT. The matchup will the Tigers' final home game of the spring season.
