AUBURN, Ala. – Senior Whit Andrus continued to put on a show on day three of the 2025 Zone B Championships inside James E. Martin Aquatics Center. The North Carolina product dialed up a career-best 412.40 in finals to add platform to his NCAA Championships resume. 

“I know that he was going to dive well based on what happened yesterday and how he woke up this morning,” said head diving coach John Fox. “This is the second final in a row where he had a major upswing, which I think is incredibly impressive.”

Senior Abigail Farrar was dynamite during prelims of the women’s 3-meter. The Pompano Beach, Florida product dialed up a 316.35 to lock in 9th with six dives left to go. Chloe Brothers and Emily Hallifax weren’t too far behind. Brothers’ 312.35 was 12th in the morning session while Hallifax entered finals in 17th with a 280.85. 

Minutes later in finals, Farrar was equally as solid. Her 636.00 total was good enough for ninth overall and an important top-12 finish heading into the platform competition on Wednesday. Brothers (603.15) finished 13th and Hallifax (558.70) managed 18th. 

Ava Jendritz finished in 32nd with a 243.00 while Campbell Long took 37th at 232.30. 

Riding the momentum from his NCAA qualification on Monday, Andrus dialed up a solid 363.45 on the platform in prelims to sit fifth with six dives to go. Freshman David Hatt conjured his best performance of the season to get a second list after a career-high 324.35, and Alex Just slid into finals in 18th with a 299.90. 

Andrus was not going to be stopped. He averaged 68.73 over his final six dives to score a career-high 412.40 for a total of 775.85 to lock up third place in the event. His effort now makes Andrus the seventh-highest performer in the event. 

Hatt rounded out his evening in 15th place with a 626.80 and Just finished 18th after a 582.50. 

Travis Keith solidified 22nd at 291.10 with Ethan Swart in 23rd with a 287.30 and Talan Blackmon in 27th at 282.95. 

Wednesday marks the final day of competition. The women take to the tower, beginning with prelims at 11 a.m. CT.
