AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn gymnastics team comes in No. 11 after the third week of competition per RoadToNationals.com following a 196.075 in Arkansas this past Sunday.
The team score moved Auburn’s average to 196.613, which is eighth in the Southeastern Conference.
Florida remains at the top with an average of 197.575. Oklahoma stands at No. 2 with a 197.463 with Alabama closing in at No. 3 with a 197.375. LSU (No. 4) and Georgia (t-No. 5) finish out the top 5 for the second week.
Joining the Tigers in the top 15 from the SEC are Missouri (No. 7) and Arkansas (No. 8).
Auburn’s floor team is ranked at No. 5 nationally with an average of 49.350. Vault moved to No. 6 (49.250) and beam is now No. 12 (49.138).
Individually, junior Julianne Huff ranks No. 21 in the all-around with a 39.263. Sophomore Marissa Neal is tied for 23rd in the all-around with a 39.250 this week.
Sophomore Sophia Bell is tied No. 4 nationally on vault with a 9.912 average and also ranks No. 5 on floor with a 9.938 average. Junior Paige Zancan comes in tied for 10th nationally on vault (9.9). Alex Irvine is No. 16 on beam with a 9.9.
Auburn takes on No. 1 Florida in Neville Arena this Friday, January 23. The Tigers and the Gators will face off at 7:45 p.m. CT and the meet will be televised on SEC Network.
