AUBURN, Ala. — In the final dual of the 2025-26 campaign, Auburn Swimming and Diving treks to Tuscaloosa to face in-state rival Alabama on Friday, January 30 at 3 p.m. CT inside the Alabama Aquatic Center and Don Gambril Olympic Pool. The meet will be streamed live on SEC Network Plus.
Head coach Ryan Wochomurka and the Tigers are coming off a solid performance against Florida. The Orange and Blue men remain at No. 15 in the latest CSCAA Coaches Poll, while the women moved to No. 17. Comparatively, the Crimson Tide men’s team ranks 16th and the women are 14th.
Under Wochomurka, the men boast a 4-0 record versus Alabama and the women are 2-2.
Wochomurka’s mix of veterans and rookies has provided a unique amount of depth as Auburn barrels toward the postseason next month.
Seniors Elizaveta Klevanovich and Danny Schmidt both own top-20 times in the country. Klevanovich’s 21.66 is currently the 13th-fastest 50 free in the nation and puts the Russian native as the fourth-fastest performer in program history. Schmidt, who already owns the 200 fly school record, holds the 18th-fastest 200 IM this season at 1:43.39.
Meanwhile, an impressive class of freshmen has given Orange and Blue fans plenty to cheer about this season. Daniel Krichevsky (200 free), Ivan Tarasov (100 back) and Abdalla Nasr (200 fly) have all ventured into the top 20 in the country this season.
In total, the Tigers have accounted for 28 NCAA qualifying standards and 18 top 10 swims and dives in program history before Friday.
For John Fox’s diving crew, every diver has earned at least one Zones score. Against Florida, it was freshman Juliette Landi who led the group with the strongest effort. Landi took second on the 1-meter with a 293.10 but saved the best for last, earning her second win of the year on 3-meter with a solid 320.93.
Auburn will be back inside James E. Martin Aquatic Center Feb. 6-7 for the First Chance Invitational as a final tune-up for the SEC Championships, Feb. 16-21 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
