AUBURN, Ala. – The No. 1 Auburn equestrian team will hit the road one last time during the regular season, traveling to No. 3 Georgia for a Southeastern Conference contest. The two rivals will face off at 11 a.m. CT on Saturday, February 28 in Bishop, Georgia at the UGA Equestrian Complex.
“Georgia is a really good team and a very competitive team,” head coach Jessica Braswell said. “We have a huge opportunity on the road this weekend to see what we’re made of. If we can bring the same energy and consistency that we have at home on the road then we have a great chance this Saturday.”
The equestrian program is no stranger to the Auburn-Georgia rivalry. The two programs have combined for 14 national titles since the beginning of collegiate equestrian and each have battled back and forth in the series history.
“This is definitely our biggest rivalry and this match-up has always been a battle,” Braswell said. “This is a huge opportunity for us Saturday because not only does this rivalry mean a lot to our program, but to the Auburn fans as well. We always love to get a win at Georgia.”
Saturday’s meet also holds weight in seeding at the 2026 SEC Championships. With two conference meets remaining, a win will be one step closer to securing the top seed at the conference meet.
“This team has a lot of resilience and we control our own destiny,” Braswell said. “We have two SEC meets left and have a good chance of being that top seed at SECs. We will put ourselves into a great position if we can get the win Saturday.”
