JOHNS CREEK, Ga. – Three Auburn players completed the first two rounds of the Georgia State Invitational on Monday at Rivermont Golf Club in Johns Creek, Georgia. All three Tigers are competing as individuals, with Frances Brown and Anne Fernandez inside the top 20.

"There were multiple positives to take out of the first two rounds today," Auburn assistant coach CJ Easley said. "Overall, we navigated the course well. Proud of them for the way they hung in and fought for every shot all 36 holes. Tomorrow is another opporunity to compete and finish strong."

Auburn freshman Frances Brown bounced back from an opening-round 76 (+4) by shooting a 1-under 71 in the second round. Brown’s second round included four birdies and marked her second round under par this season. She is tied for 16th at 3-over 147.

Anne Fernandez began the day with an even-par 72 that included four birdies and shot a 4-over 76 in her second round. Fernandez is 4-over 148 for the tournament and tied for 20th.
