AUBURN, Ala. — Fourteen Tigers received All-America honors following standout performances at the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross-Country Association (USTFCCCA) on Monday.

Last weekend, nineteen student-athletes competed at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon, at historic Hayward Field on the University of Oregon’s campus. Auburn was represented by ten men and nine women, competing in nine events and two relays.

The Auburn men finished in sixth place with 33 points, capturing the program’s third consecutive outdoor top 10 finish. The Tigers won multiple national championships for the fourth time in program history and for the first time since 2006, when Cory Martin captured national championships in shot put and hammer throw.

First-Team All-America honors are awarded to the top eight finishers in each individual event and relay, while athletes finishing ninth through 16th earn Second-Team All-America recognition. Honorable mention is awarded to those placing 17th through 24th in their events.

First team honors were awarded to seniors, Megan Hague, Omari Lewis, Devin Nugent, juniors Kayinsola Ajayi and Ja’Kobe Tharp, and sophomore Israel Okon.

Second team distinctions were given to seniors Seth Allen, Tyler Davis, Azeem Fahmi, Austin Kresley, Danae Nembhard, Reese Webster, junior Shonedra Richardson, and freshman Sophia Efetobore.

Honorable mentions went to junior Marley Raikiwasa, sophomores Camryn Massey, Kai Twaddle-Dunham, and freshmen Norah Lind and Sophia Mazzoni.

Tharp made history in Eugene by setting a new world record in the 110m hurdles behind a sizzling finish of 12.75 in the semifinals, becoming the first individual since Dwight Stones in the high jump 50 years ago to break a world record at the national championships. In the final on Friday, the Bowerman Award Finalist would capture his second consecutive national title in the event, and fourth overall, becoming the eighth Auburn student-athlete to win both an indoor and outdoor National Championship in the same year and first to do it in back-to-back seasons.

Ajayi captured his first NCAA outdoor title in the 100m, blazing to a wind-aided 9.72 to secure the national championship. The Nigerian also won the NCAA indoor 60m title earlier this year, making him the ninth Auburn student-athlete to win both an indoor and outdoor national championship in the same season, just 10 minutes after Tharp became the eighth.

Seniors Lewis and Okon joined Ajayi in the 100m final, finishing eighth and ninth, respectively. It marked the first time in program history that three Tigers advanced to the 100m final at NCAAs.

Okon took silver in the 200m, crossing in 19.99, en route to his best finish at the NCAA championships. The Nigerian was the first Auburn athlete since 2012 to reach finals at NCAAs in both the 100m and 200m.

In the men’s 400m hurdles, Nugent would place fifth with a finish of 49.50 in his first NCAA Championships appearance.

The quartet of Fahmi, Ajayi, Kresley, and Davis broke the collegiate record in the semifinals of the men’s 4x100m relay with a time of 37.75, 15 hundredths faster than the previous time of 37.90 set by LSU in 2023.

Hague would secure her best finish at the Outdoor championships by registering an eighth-place finish in shot put with a mark of 17.51m/57-5.5. The Niceville, Florida, native’s 2026 was capped by a school record in the event, while registering nine of the top 10 throws in program history.

The foursome of Nembhard, Webster, Richardson, and Efetobore earned All-American honors in the women’s 4x100m relay, finishing 16th overall and crossing in 43.69. Auburn’s best showing in the event since placing fifth in 2018.
