AUBURN, Ala.— The No. 1 Auburn equestrian team defeated No. 8 Fresno State, 17-3, Saturday at the Auburn University Equestrian Center.

“Great day today,” head coach Jessica Braswell said. “Really proud of the effort. A really good win against a good team in Fresno State.”

Auburn swept Flat (5-0) and Horsemanship (5-0) and won Fences (4-1) and Reining (3-2). The Tigers finished with a dominate 1535-1477.5 overall scoring advantage between all four events.

Auburn earned three Most Outstanding Performer honors: senior Avery Glynn in Fences, sophomore Caroline Olsen on the Flat and freshman Maddie Rippeon in Horsemanship.

“We’d like to thank the Auburn fans that came out and supported us,” Braswell said. “We had a great crowd and a lot of great Halloween costumes, so hopefully it was a great way to kick off Halloween Saturday. We won all four events, which is something we always aim to do at home and I’m proud of our MOPs. Solid rides all day for the team.”
