No. 3 Auburn to open SEC play against No. 1 South Carolina

No. 3 Auburn equestrian will welcome defending national champion and No.1 South Carolina on Friday at 11 a.m. CT at the Auburn University Equestrian Center. Admission is free.

AUBURN, Ala.— No. 3 Auburn equestrian will welcome defending national champion and No.1 South Carolina on Friday at 11 a.m. CT at the Auburn University Equestrian Center. Admission is free.

The meet will be streamed on SEC Network+ with live scoring available at AuburnTigers.com.

“We’re looking forward to opening SEC play against South Carolina,” head coach Jessica Braswell said. “They are the defending national champions, so we know it will be a tough meet. Coaches Mary Meneely and Caroline Becker have done a great job preparing the team.”

The two teams will meet earlier than originally planned with Hurricane Isaias expected to hit the area later Friday evening.

FAN EXPERIENCE
It will be Auburn's country-music-themed "Something in the Orange" meet, recognizing Student-Athlete Mental Health Awareness with orange boot koozie giveaways.
Auburn equestrian's horse trading card, featuring Presley, will also be available this week.

THE TIGER LINEUP
The Jumping Seat lineup for both Fences and Flat will include senior Avery Glynn, juniors Kate Hagerty and Ariana Marnell, sophomore Caroline Olsen and freshman Taylor Cawley. Hagerty, Marnell and Cawley are all undefeated in Fences with a 3-0-0 record, while Cawley, Marnell and Glynn are also undefeated on the Flat. 

Cawley was also recently named the SEC Rider of the Month in both events for her efforts in September.

Sophomore Emily Jurnovoy will ride in exhibition in Fences and junior Sadie Berkhout will do exhibition on the Flat.

On the Western side, seniors Callie Hogg, Brooke Jolstad and Sydney Swallom along with freshmen Delaney Lee and Maddie Rippeon will ride Horsemanship with freshman Charlie Brooks riding in exhibition. Hogg, Jolstad and Brooks all picked up wins vs. SMU last week in the Western season opener.

The Reining lineup features junior Michelle Fumagalli, sophomores Kailee Rife and Sophia Tieche and freshmen Lindsey Lester and Landri Lisac. Fumagalli picked up the first MOP of her career last week vs. SMU.

THE SERIES
Auburn leads the all-time series against South Carolina, 38-22, and is 16-7 at home.
In its most recent meeting, the Gamecocks downed the Tigers,11-8, at the 2026 NCEA Championship Semifinal in Ocala, Fla.

Auburn returns home to host No. 2 Texas A&M on Friday, Oct. 23, at 3 p.m. CT. 

It will be Auburn's Military Appreciation meet with Auburn Equestrian bandana giveaways. Kids Zone, food trucks and concessions will be available. Admission is free.
