Trent Mummey is in his first season as a student assistant coach with the Auburn baseball program. He was a standout outfielderfor the Tigers from 2008-10.
Mummey was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the fourth round of the 2010 Major League Baseball first-year player draft. He played parts of four seasons in the Orioles' minor league system from 2010-14.
The Pinson, Ala. native won a Rawlings Gold Glove in 2009 and was an All-SEC performer in 2010 when he hit .366 with 17 home runs and 54 RBI. He totaled 36 home runs and 119 runs batted in during his three-year career on The Plains.
