2012 - SOPHOMORE YEAR
Went 4-0 with a 1.88 ERA in nine appearances (six starts) before suffering a season-ending arm injury which required Tommy John surgery ... 1.88 ERA was fourth in the SEC at the time of his season-ending injury ... Struck out 19 in 38 1/3 innings of work ... Opponents hit .226 against him ... Team averaged 7.0 runs per game in support of him in his six starts, most of anyone in the weekend rotation ... Was 2-0 with a 3.27 ERA in four SEC appearances (all starts) ... Threw 4 2/3 innings of one-run ball (it was unearned) on Saturday against Alabama (4/7) before leaving with an elbow strain which resulted in his surgery ... Earned his second SEC win and his fourth overall on Saturday against Mississippi State (3/31), facing the minimum through six innings before being roughed up for three runs in the seventh ... Completed his day by throwing 6 1/3 innings allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits and two walks, striking out four to win his fourth straight decision ... Made five relief appearances and had a 5.11 ERA in 12 1/3 innings ... Entered in the fourth at Samford (5/10) with Auburn down 6-3 and a man on first and one out ... Threw 1 2/3 innings, allowing a run and leaving with Auburn down 8-4 with two outs in the sixth ... Threw a career-long 5 1/3 innings in the loss to Samford (4/26), holding them to just one run after entering in the third with Auburn down 7-0 ...
