2020 – REDSHIRT JUNIOR YEAR
Went 3-1 with a 2.08 ERA in four starts … struck out 27 batters and issued five walks in 17.1 innings of work … started on the mound in three of Auburn’s five shutouts … pitched 4.0 scoreless innings and allowed just one hit with two walks and seven strikeouts in his season debut vs. Illinois-Chicago (Feb. 16) … suffered the loss in his next outing vs. UCF (Feb. 23) … didn’t allow a run in his next two starts, going 5.0 scoreless vs. Wright State (Mar. 1) and 6.0 scoreless vs. Chicago State (Mar. 8) … struck out a team and career-high 11 batters and matched a career high in innings pitched in his final start against the Cougars.
2019 – REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE YEAR
Made 18 appearances and five starts in his first season with the Tigers … posted a 4-2 record with a 5.97 ERA … turned in 3.0 scoreless innings in his Auburn debut vs. Georgia Southern (Feb. 17) … earned back-to-back starts at UCF (Feb. 24) and vs. UT Martin (Mar. 5) the following two weeks … picked up his first win in an Auburn uniform and didn’t allow a hit in 3.0 scoreless innings of relief at UAB (Mar. 19) … struck out the side in a scoreless inning of relief at Jacksonville State (Apr. 23) … turned in scoreless efforts in back-to-back days vs. Alabama (May 4-5), earning the win in the series finale … allowed one run in 4.0 innings and struck out a season-high six batters en route to earning the win in the SEC Tournament vs. Tennessee (May 21) … was named to the Atlanta Regional All-Tournament Team after turning in a season-high 6.0 shutout innings while allowing just two hits with one walk and four strikeouts in the regional final vs. Georgia Tech (Jun. 2) … earned starts in the Chapel Hill Super Regional (Jun. 9) and College World Series (Jun. 18).
JUNIOR COLLEGE
Played at McLennan Community College for coach Mitch Thompson … posted a 7-0 record with a 3.86 ERA his freshman season … struck out 77 batters in 77.0 IP … was named All-Region V … tabbed a top 75 junior college prospect by Perfect Game.
HIGH SCHOOL
Played at West (Texas) High School for coach Cory Beckham … went 13-0 with a 1.34 ERA and struck out 120 batters as a junior … followed it with a 13-3 record and 1.30 ERA as a senior … led his team to back-to-back 3A State Championships and was named the Tournament MVP on both occasions … two-time Texas Sports Writers Association Class 3A Player of the Year and First-Team All-State honoree.
