2020 – SENIOR YEAR
Played and started in 16 games, including 15 behind the plate … tied for the team lead and ranked and ranked tied for eighth in the SEC with a .412 batting average … reached base at a .516 clip … ranked second on the team with 18 runs … added four doubles, one home run and 14 RBI … matched a career high with three hits on a pair of occasions – vs. Oakland (Feb. 19) and vs. Chicago State (Mar. 6) … homered in the series opener vs. UCF (Feb. 21) … drove in a career high four runs and reached base four times in the series finale vs. Wright State (Mar. 1) … recorded multiple hits in six of the last eight contests … went 14-for-28 with nine runs and eight RBI during the stretch … also turned in multiple hits in four straight games (Feb. 28 – Mar. 6), going 9-for-16 five runs and six RBI … started behind the plate in each of the team’s five shutouts … caught three would-be base stealers and picked off three more … named to the Buster Posey Award watch list ... named to the 2020 Spring SEC Academic Honor Roll.
2019 – JUNIOR YEAR
Played in 61 games and earned 59 starts behind the plate in his first season … hit .260 overall and fourth on the team with a .264 average in league games … turned in a .989 fielding percentage behind the plate … threw out 11 would-be base stealers … tied for the team lead with a 10-game hitting streak from Apr. 18 – May 7 … went 1-for-3 with a walk, stolen base, run and RBI in the season opener and his Auburn debut vs. Georgia Southern (Feb. 15) … turned in a season-high three hits and scored a pair of runs in the series finale at UCF (Feb. 24) … went 4-for-4 with three runs and a RBI In two games vs. UTSA (Mar. 8-9), hitting his first home run in the later game …collected a pair of hits in back-to-back games vs. Ole Miss (Apr. 20) and at Vanderbilt (Apr. 25) … also drove in a pair of runs in the series opener against the Commodores … went 2-for-2 with a run, double and RBI vs. UAB (May 7) … recorded a hit in a team-high 14 straight SEC games and reaches base in 19 straight conference contests entering the Georgia series … drove in a season-high three runs and collected a pair of hits in the series finale against the Bulldogs (May 11) … hit a game-tying, two-run home run with two outs in the ninth inning in the regular season finale at LSU (May 18) … collected a hit and scored a run in two SEC Tournament games … drove in a pair of runs to cap off a 13-run first inning in the decisive game three of the Chapel Hill Super Regional (Jun. 10) … went 2-for-4 with a double in the College World Series vs. Louisville (Jun. 19) ... named to the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll.
JUNIOR COLLEGE
Played two seasons for Kevin Davis at Pierce Community College … hit .369 with 12 doubles, two triples, one home run and 22 RBI as a sophomore … was named the Tacoma Athletic Commission Player of the Year and Second Team All-NWAC … turned in a .398 average with five doubles, one triple, two home runs and 15 RBI as a freshman … two-time All-Region selection … turned in 24 assists and made two errors behind the plate as a sophomore.
HIGH SCHOOL
Played for Derek Bingham at Lake Washington High School … hit .400 with 12 doubles and 18 RBI in 25 games as a senior … set the school record for doubles in a single-season … led his team to its first state championship in school history … earned all-league and all-state honors his senior season.

Son of Mike and Jodi Scheffler ... has two brothers, Tom and Joe Scheffler … pair of cousins, Steve and Tony Scheffler, played professionally for the Seattle Super Sonic and Denver Broncos/Detroit Lions, respectively … enrolled in College of Liberal Arts.
