2021 - SENIOR YEAR
Appeared in 45 games and started 44 in left field … hit .209 (33-for-158) with five doubles, two triples and four home runs … scored 30 runs and drove in 18 more … tied for first on the team in triples (2), and tied for second on the team in sacrifice flies (3) … went 4-for-5 with a four runs, a double, home run and two RBI in the season opener against Presbyterian (Feb. 19) … was 3-for-5 with five runs, a home run and four RBI in the two-game series against Alabama A&M (Feb. 23-24) … suffered a shoulder injury against Baylor at the Round Rock Classic (Feb. 27) ... was 3-for-5 with a run scored vs Ole Miss (Mar. 20) … was 3-for-5 with two runs scored at Alabama (Apr. 17) … hit a crucial solo home run in the 2-1 win vs LSU (May 8) … was 1-for-2 with two runs and a RBI in the win at Missouri (May 20) ... turned in a .986 fielding percentage with two assists and 66 putouts.
2020 – JUNIOR YEAR
Started in the leadoff spot and left or center field in all 18 games … hit .315 (23-for-73) with six doubles, one triple, two home runs and 17 RBI … ranked tied for second on the team in RBI and fourth in runs (16) … went 4-for-6 and hit for the cycle vs. Illinois-Chicago (Feb. 15) … became the first Auburn player since Clete Thomas in 2005 to hit for the cycle … scored four runs and drove in two in the contest … drove in a career and league-high seven runs vs. Alabama A&M (Feb. 26) … went 4-for-4 with two runs, two doubles and a homer in the game … his seven RBI were the most since Steven Williams also drove in seven runs vs. Longwood in the season opening series in 2018 … Ward was the first Auburn player with multiple four-hit games in a span of 10 game since Jonah Todd in 2017 … record multiple hits, runs and RBI in the series-clinching win vs. Wright State (Feb. 29) … went 3-for-4 with two runs, a double and RBI in the series finale vs. Chicago State (Mar. 8) … led the team with three sac bunts and tied for the team lead with four sac flies … stole 2-of-3 bases … didn’t commit an error in 16 chances ... named to the 2020 Spring SEC Academic Honor Roll.
2019 – SOPHOMORE YEAR
Played in all 66 games and earned 65 starts, primarily in left field … led the SEC with nine outfield assists, the most by an Auburn player since 2005 … ranked second on the team with a .286 average in SEC play … turned in career highs in every offensive category including batting average (.272), runs (42), hits (70), doubles (12), triples (two), home runs (five), RBI (34), walks (37), total bases (101), slugging percentage (.393), on-base percentage (.377) and stolen bases (five) … ranked in the top five on the team in each category except RBI … turned in 20 multiple-hit games, including seven career-high-matching three-hit efforts … went on a season-high seven game hitting streak from Mar. 19-30 and reached base in 18 straight games from Apr. 16 – May 17 … collected his first three-hit game in the second game of the season vs. Georgia Southern (Feb. 16) … hit the first home run of his career vs. Alabama A&M (Feb. 20) … reached base four times, scored a pair of runs and drove in three in the series finale at UCF (Feb. 24) … threw out his third runner of the season to keep Auburn’s deficit at one before the team scored the game-tying and go-ahead run in its next at-bat vs. Tennessee (Mar. 17) … hit his second home run and drove in a career-high four runs in the series finale at Mississippi State (Mar. 24) … matched a season-high with three hits vs. Arkansas (Apr. 5), starting a stretch of eight multi-hit games in 16 contests … turned in a pair of three-hit efforts and went 7-for-13 with three runs, two doubles and two RBI at Vanderbilt (Apr. 25-27) … homered in the series opener vs. Georgia (May 10) … went 5-for-13 with a double, home run and four RBI in three games at the SEC Tournament … broke a 2-2 tie with a RBI bunt single and later hit a two-run home run to extend the advantage in the opening round of the conference tournament vs. Tennessee (May 21) … was named to the Atlanta Regional All-Tournament Team after going 5-for-12 with two runs, a double and a RBI … opened the NCAA Tournament by going 3-for-5 with a walk, two runs and a RBI vs. Coastal Carolina (May 31) … turned in his final three-hit game and hit a three-run home run in the team’s 13-run first inning of the winner-take-all game three at the Chapel Hill Super Regional (Jun. 10).
2018 – FRESHMAN YEAR
Made 21 starts and played in 37 games during his freshman campaign … hit .250 with nine runs scored and eight RBI … made 12 starts and saw action in 18 of 30 SEC games … came off the bench and went 2-for-2 with two RBI at Georgia Tech (Mar. 20) … drove in a run in a come-from-behind win at Kentucky (Mar. 25) … went 2-for-4 with a run, double, triple and RBI in comeback win vs. Mississippi State (Apr. 15) … went 2-for-5 with a RBI in the series opener at Alabama (Apr. 20) … matched a season high with two RBI at Troy (May 15) … went 1-for-3 in the Gainesville Super Regional opener vs. Florida (June 9) … made a diving catch on the left-field line to preserve a tie game vs. Florida in the decisive third game.
HIGH SCHOOL
Was a three-time 5A state champion for Chris Heaps at Russellville High School … turned in a .468 career average and totaled 11 home runs with 114 RBI … stole 81 bases and scored 189 runs in 144 games … rated the 11th best player and fifth best outfield in Alabama … three-time First Team All-State performer … turned in a career-best year as a sophomore, hitting .511 with five home runs and 49 RBI … named the 2016 5A Player of the Year and Times Daily Hitter of the Year after collecting 80 hits – 30 for extra bases – and driving in 41 runs while turning in a .488 average … earned 2017 Collegiate Baseball First Team All-American honors after hitting .407 with four home runs as a senior … also named a MaxPreps All-American … played basketball.
