Long-time collegiate gymnastics coach Bryan Raschilla is in his third season with the Tigers in 2020-21 as volunteer assistant coach.
On the Plains, Raschilla will be responsible for providing assistance in all events, database management and assisting all program camps.
The 2020 season saw Raschilla help Auburn reach new heights on vault. Drew Watson was named a First Team All-American and placed on the All-SEC team after earning a 9.92 NQS over the year. Watson tied a program-best 9.975 and earned six event titles throughout the year.
In addition, Cassie Stevens was placed on the SEC All-Freshman squad for her performances on vault throughout the 2020 season.
In 2019, Raschilla helped elevate Auburn’s skill on vault and guided the program to its first national champion - Derrian Gobourne on vault. In addition, Gobourne secured All-American, All-SEC and SEC All-Freshman honors in the event.
Raschilla brings a long list of accolades to the Plains after spending the past 22 years with the Alabama gymnastics program. He spent the last four seasons as associate head coach in Tuscaloosa.
Raschilla helped guide Alabama to three NCAA championships in 2002, 2011 and 2012 as well as three runner-up finishes and 19 Super Six appearances. In addition, Alabama captured six Southeastern Conference titles with Raschilla on staff.
In addition to the team success, Raschilla helped Alabama gymnasts capture 15 individual NCAA titles during his time with the Tide.
