Education: Peterson earned a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology from The University of Illinois at Chicago in 2012. She went on to earn a Master of Business and Administration (MBA) from Lewis University in 2015, followed by a Master of Science in athletic training from Lenoir-Rhyne University in 2018 where she also served as the president of the Athletic Training Student Organization.
Job Responsibilities: Peterson serves as the athletic trainer for the gymnastics team.
Past Experience: Prior to her career in athletic training, Peterson worked in healthcare administration and business development with a focus on data analytics and community health awareness. During her graduate school education, Peterson worked closely with the football teams at Vanderbilt University and Northwestern University providing on and off the field prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries. She also completed a summer internship with the Carolina Panthers in 2017. Peterson returns to Auburn University after completing a year-long internship working with the Auburn Tiger’s soccer and gymnastics teams for the 2018-2019 season. Her professional affiliations include the National Athletic Trainers' Association and the Alabama Athletic Trainers' Association.
Personal: A native of Chicago, Illinois, Peterson resides in Auburn, Alabama.
