The 2026 SEC Equestrian Championship will follow a single‑elimination format as approved by the Southeastern Conference. The bracket consists of two semifinal matchups:
- No. 1 vs. No. 4
- No. 2 vs. No. 3
The winners of the semifinal rounds will advance to the Championship round.
Each dual meet in the 2026 SEC Equestrian Championship will consist of 20 head‑to‑head rides across four events:
- Jumping Seat – 5 riders per team
- Flat – 5 riders per team
- Horsemanship – 5 riders per team
- Reining – 5 riders per team
In each head‑to‑head matchup, both riders perform on the same horse, and the rider with the higher score earns one point for their team.
At the end of all 20 rides, the team with the most points is declared the winner.
If the meet ends in a 10–10 tie, the raw score tiebreaker (total of all judges’ scores) will determine the winner as outlined in SEC Championship procedures.
