AUBURN, Ala. – Freshman Julia Strojnowska added the 200 free to her list of swims in which she owns a spot on the top 10 performers list as Auburn rounded out the Last Chance Invite on Saturday inside James E. Martin Aquatics Center. 

Strojnowska, a freshman from Vancouver, Canada waited all afternoon to dial up a sturdy 1:44.62, becoming the ninth-fastest performer in school history in the 200 free. She now owns top 10 times in the 200 free, 500 free and 1000 free. 

Both Sohib Khaled and Bradford Johnson delivered a battle in the 100 fly throughout the day. Khaled dropped a season-best 46.04 in the morning while Johnson countered with a lifetime best 45.80 in finals. 

Senior Lexie Mulvihill also added a season-best performance in the 50 free. The Florida product hit the wall at 22.01.

Logan Tirheimer also managed to drop time in the sprint. Tirheimer’s 19.06 was a season-best and puts him tied for 31st in the country. 

The women’s NCAA Championships qualifying selections will be announced on Wednesday, March 5, while the men are slated to be announced on Wednesday, March 12. 

Head diving coach John Fox and his crew will work towards spots at NCAAs at the Zone B Diving Championships, hosted on the Plains inside the James E. Martin Aquatic Center March 9-12. 

Both the Women’s and Men’s NCAA Championships will be held at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center in Federal Way, Washington. The women will compete March 19-22 while the men are slated for March 26-29.
