AUBURN, Ala. – Head coach Ryan Wochomurka and the Auburn Swim and Dive team officially kicks off the regular season at the prestigious SMU Invite, Oct. 10-11 at the Robson and Lindley Aquatics Center.
Eighteen Tiger men and women will battle host SMU, SEC foe LSU, Louisville and Drury. Events are slated to begin at 3 p.m. CT on Friday and 10 a.m. CT on Saturday.
The rest of the team will remain home on the Plains for a dual with the women of West Florida on Friday, Oct. 10. The men will feature in an exhibition. Events are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. CT, doors will open at Noon.
Entering the weekend, Auburn was picked 20th on both the men’s and women’s side in the latest CSCAA Coaches Poll.
Wochomurka and Co. are coming off a successful Orange and Blue intrasquad meet. Fans who made it to the James E. Martin Aquatic Center got their first look at the talented 2025-26 roster that features a mix of prominent veterans, transfers and newcomers.
Last season, Morgan Carteaux, Audrey Crawford, Elizaveta Klevanovich, Lora Komoroczy, Julia Strojnowska and Emily Hallifax accounted for 10 top-10 performances in program history.
German native Danny Schmidt broke the program record in the 200 fly (1:40.43) and moved into second in the 200 IM (1:41.42), 400 IM (3:40.29) and 200 free (1:31.80).
On the diving side, head diving coach John Fox has added Olympian Juliette Landi, Brazilian National Team member Maria Faoro and Australian National Team member Ben Wilson. Collectively, Auburn divers cashed in on 10 international medals across the summer.
