AUBURN, Ala. – The top two teams in the nation will square off Friday as No. 2 Auburn equestrian hosts No. 1 Georgia in a rivalry meet at 3 p.m. CT at the Auburn Equestrian Center. The competition will be the final meet of the fall schedule for both squads.
“It’s a big one in equestrian,” Auburn head coach Jessica Braswell said of the rivalry. “Both teams have won multiple national championships and both have been in this sport from the very beginning. I have the utmost respect for that Georgia team. I know they’re going to be prepared and competitive, and our athletes will as well. It’s fun to compete in those rivalries and it’s fun to win those meets for Auburn, because I know it means a lot to beat Georgia.”
Auburn enters the meet with a 4-1 overall record and riding a three-meet win streak. The Tigers most recently defeated then-No. 2 South Carolina 13-6 on Nov. 8 at home. Georgia is 5-1 following a 10-9 road victory over No. 4 Texas A&M. The Bulldogs’ lone loss was a 10-9 setback at TCU on Nov. 7.
Auburn’s Fences lineup will feature Avery Glynn, Kate Hagerty, Emily Jurnovoy, Ariana Marnell and Caroline Olsen. On the Flat, the Tigers will ride Glynn, Hagerty, Marnell, Olsen and Sadie Berkhout.
Glynn has led Auburn’s jumping seat squad with a perfect 10-0 overall record across both events. She was also named the NCEA and SEC Flat Rider of the Month for October. Freshman Caroline Olsen has also turned in an impressive fall, posting an 8-2 record and earning wins in both events against TCU and South Carolina.
Auburn’s Horsemanship lineup will remain unchanged from the South Carolina meet, with Caroline Fredenburg, Callie Hogg, Brooke Jolstad, Sydney Swallom and Alexia Tordoff set to compete. The Reining squad will include Hogg, Tordoff, Caroline Buchanan, Michelle Fumagalli and Sofia Tieche.
Swallom, the NCEA and SEC Horsemanship Rider of the Month for October, holds a perfect 5-0 record with two MOPs this season. Fredenburg has also had a strong start in Horsemanship, going 4-0-1.
Georgia, the defending NCEA National Champion, leads the all-time series over Auburn 34-28. The teams split their regular-season meetings last year, each winning at home, and Georgia defeated Auburn during the 2025 NCEA Championship.
Equestrian-themed basketball jerseys will be given to current Auburn University students in attendance while supplies last. Admission is free. The meet will be streamed on SEC Network+ with live scoring available at AuburnTigers.com.
