AUBURN, Ala. – The No. 11 Auburn gymnastics team continues Southeastern Conference action, traveling to rival No. 8 Georgia for a Sunday meet. The Tigers and the Bulldogs will face off at 5 p.m. CT on SEC Network in Stegeman Coliseum.

“It’s always nice to have a couple extra days of practice,” head coach Jeff Graba said. “We’re going to challenge the team to embrace the opportunity to face Georgia, who is very good right now and is running on all cylinders right now. We’ve got to go be us on the road against a team that does very well at home. It’s going to be a big test for this young team.”

The Tigers roster only features one senior and relies on the underclassmen to step up in big ways. The junior and sophomore classes have been featured in 21 of the 24 routines competed in each of the first three meets this season.

“We’re a young team that is starting to believe in themselves and build a lot of confidence,” Graba said. “With that said, we’ve had a lot of little things that are taking tenths away from us right now that is just part of being a young team. We’ve got to get sharper and we’ve got to start fast and Sunday will be a good test for these young people to figure out how to be good on the road.”
