Education: Hard earned a bachelor’s degree in Radio, Television, and Film from the University of North Texas in 2014 and a master’s degree in Instructional Technology from the University of Alabama in 2021.

Job Responsibilities: As Director of Football Technology and Digital Innovation, Hard serves as the primary technology contact for Auburn Football and the Woltosz Football Performance Center. He oversees the capture of games, practices, and other football-related activities, while also managing and maintaining the football program’s technology infrastructure and computer network for the coaching staff.

Experience: Hard began his career as a student video assistant at the University of North Texas from 2011–2014. He then served as a Football video intern at the University of Alabama from 2015 to March 2016 before joining the Atlanta Falcons as a Video Assistant from March 2016 to June 2017, contributing during the team’s NFC Championship season.

He returned to Alabama as Director of Football Video Services from July 2017 to June 2021, where he led all video operations for the program. Hard has been a member of the Collegiate Sports Video Association (CSVA) since 2014 and currently serves on its board as secretary, helping organize the annual CSVA conference and support collegiate video departments nationwide.

Hard’s excellence in the field has been recognized with multiple honors, including being named the SEC Video Coordinator of the Year in 2023 and the Bob Matey National Video Coordinator of the Year in 2023.

Personal: A native of Garland, Texas, Hard lives in Opelika with his wife, Hillary, their twins Lucy and Luke, and their dog, Rougie.
