International Travel

If you plan to return home for a visit or leave the country at any time, you will need to review the below links and documents, prior to your trip, to ensure you are prepared to re-enter the country upon return.

Prior to leaving the country, you are required to check-out with the International Office:

  • Signed by your coach, Susan Canaan in athletics compliance, and the International Office
  • Most recent I-20
  • Valid F-1/J-1 Visa
  • A valid passport: If your passport will expire within the next six months, plan to renew your passport before returning to the U.S.

An updated signature for your I-20 is required annually. An expired signature at the time of your return would prevent you re-entry to the United States.

If you are a dual citizen, determine in advance that you are traveling with the appropriate passport.

Upon return to campus, you will be required to check-in with the International Office within 10 days (Bring documents to International Office front desk or scan and email to intledu@auburn.edu)
