Auburn Made: Week 5 NFL rundownAuburn Made: Week 5 NFL rundown

Tank Bigsby and Darius Slayton both went over 100 yards and found the end zone, helping lead their teams to hard-fought victories Sunday, while Derick Hall tacked on yet another sack for the Seahawks.

That and more in this week’s Auburn Made NFL rundown.

BEST OF WEEK 5

Tank Bigsby, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars

Picking up where he left off in week four, Bigsby rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries in a hard-fought victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. He also added a 28-yard reception, his first catch of the year. The bulk of the yardage came on a 65-yard touchdown scamper, which gave the Jaguars a 14-point lead with five minutes to go. He also scored on a 19-yard run. Bigsby is now averaging 8.0 yards per carry on the season, tops in the NFL among all players with 30 or more rushing attempts.

Derick Hall, LB, Seattle Seahawks

Hall continues to wreak havoc in offensive backfields as he posted another solid stat line Sunday before exiting with a foot injury in the fourth quarter. The second-year linebacker had six tackles (four solo), with one of those being a sack, and he also forced a fumble. It was the third straight week with a sack for Hall who ranks fifth in the NFL in QB pressures (16) and fifth in sacks (5) through the first five games.

Jamien Sherwood, LB, New York Jets

Coming off a stellar week four performance, Sherwood continues to impress. In the NFL’s annual trip to London, the linebacker posted a team-high 12 tackles, including seven solo stops in a tough loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Still, with a PFF grade of 90.3, Sherwood was the highest-graded Jet and earned a spot on PFF’s Week 5 Team of the Week. For the season, he is PFF’s second-highest graded linebacker in the NFL behind Fred Warner.

Darius Slayton, WR, New York Giants

Slayton broke out in a big way Sunday as he reeled in eight catches on 11 targets for 122 yards and a touchdown to help the Giants earn their second win of the season. The touchdown, a 30-yard grab, came early in the third quarter of a 10-10 game and proved pivotal in the 29-20 victory over the Seahawks. It was a season high in yardage for Slayton and the third-highest receiving total for his career.
